Division of Long-Term Services |

The Division of Long-Term Services offers day support, psychosocial
rehabilitation/day treatment, elderly day treatment, transitional employment,
residential services, supported living, and transportation. These are programs
for developmentally disabled and seriously mentally ill adults who require more
intensive treatment. |

Program Eligibility |
|
To be eligible for these services, individuals must be diagnosed with a
developmental disability or a serious mental illness and must be 18 years of
age or older. |

Day Support Program |
Day Support is offered to individuals who are seriously mentally ill,
developmentally disabled, or have alcohol or drug problems. The program has
structured activities designed to support and enhance independent living in the
community. These programs are located in Adams County, Lincoln County, and Pike
County. |

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program |
Psychosocial Rehabilitation program, also known as Clubhouse, is a community
support program for people with serious mental illness. It consists of a
network of services that help individuals develop the potential to live
independently and/or become employed. Clubhouse offers individuals the
opportunity to participate in units which perform structured activities, such
as, clerical, kitchen, thrift store, maintenance, and gardening. These are
designed to promote independence and self-empowerment. These programs are
located in Amite County and Pike County. |

Elderly Day Treatment Program |
The Elderly Day Treatment program is a service designed for the elderly
individual who has a serious mental illness and impaired role functioning that
adversely affects the activities of daily living, such as basic living skills,
instrumental living skills, and social functioning. It provides socialization
and peer interaction; group and individual social activities; art, craft, and
music expression; leisure skills building; consultation with existing
health services; referrals for additional health and social activities; and
nutritional support. These programs are located in Adams County and Lincoln County. |

Transitional Employment |
|
Transitional Employment assists clients in locating employment in the
community. It is available to Clubhouse participants. It is time-limited and
can lead to a referral for permanent employment. |

Transportation |
| Transportation is available within a certain area of the region in which the programs are located. |
